- El CRM va participar en l’edició de l’Exporecerca Jove celebrada del 6 al 9 de març, on va atorgar un premi especial al millor treball de matemàtiques o de contingut matemàtic.
- L’Exporecerca Jove és una fira de recerca internacional per a estudiants de secundària i batxillerat. Els projectes són avaluats per un jurat qualificat.
El passat 6, 7, 8 i 9 de març, el Centre de Recerca Matemàtica (CRM) va assistir a l’edició d’aquest any de l’Exporecerca Jove, una fira internacional de recerca dirigida a estudiants de secundària i batxillerat. Com a entitat patrocinadora, el CRM va atorgar per primera vegada un premi especial al millor treball de matemàtiques (o de contingut matemàtic).
Entre els projectes presentats per estudiants de tot el món, dos van destacar per la seva qualitat i originalitat, sent premiats per la seva vinculació amb el camp de les matemàtiques. El primer, titulat Einstein i l’XPS, Anàlisi i Modelització de l’Efecte de la Potència de la Font de Rajos X en l’Espectre XPS d’un Pic de Fotoemissió, va ser elaborat per Alex Blinder Ros, estudiant de CIC Batxillerats. Aquest treball profunditza en l’anàlisi i modelització de l’espectre XPS, una aportació notable al camp de la física i la matemàtica aplicada.
D’altra banda, Gabriel López Maza, de l’Aula Escola Europea, va ser reconegut pel seu treball Desafiant la Torrada amb Mantega: Com la Física pot Explicar el Fenomen Observat pel Qual una Torrada Cau per la Part de la Mantega?. Aquest estudi ofereix una anàlisi lúdica i profundament científica sobre un fenomen quotidià, connectant els principis físics amb l’experiència diària de manera enginyosa i educativa.
Els guanyadors rebran com a premi la possibilitat de realitzar una estada amb un dels grups de recerca del CRM, una oportunitat única per aprofundir en els seus interessos científics i col·laborar amb professionals destacats en el camp de la recerca matemàtica.
25 anys d’Exporecerca
El jurat del premi CRM va estar format per Stefano Pedarra, investigador predoctoral del grup de Biologia matemàtica i computacional; Ielyaas Cloete, investigador postdoctoral també del grup de Biologia matemàtica i computacional; i Andrea Suárez, desenvolupadora de software de la Unitat de Transferència del Coneixement (KTU) del CRM. Mariona Fucho, de la unitat de comunicació del CRM, va fer entrega dels premis durant la cerimònia de clausura celebrada al Cosmocaixa.
L’Exporecerca Jove, celebrada des de l’any 2000, es distingeix per ser una plataforma on joves investigadors poden presentar els seus projectes davant un públic ampli i divers, inclosos professionals del sector i altres estudiants amb interessos similars. La mostra permet no només la difusió de la recerca juvenil sinó també un enriquiment cultural i acadèmic, ja que acull participants de tota Espanya i del món.
Aquesta edició ha confirmat, una vegada més, la importància de fomentar la curiositat científica entre els joves i la vitalitat de les matemàtiques com a eina per entendre el món que ens envolta.
