The Centre de Recerca Matemàtica is offering a position as HR Specialist / Talent Manager to work in the institutional project María de Maeztu Unit of Excellence.

The person hired will be responsible for implementing the project’s HR strategy, as well as the administrative tasks related to the position.

Main tasks

The HR Specialist/Talent manager activities include:

    • Collaborate in tasks related with the life cycle of employees: selection process, hiring, training, development, promotion, compensation, and management of sick leave.
    • Provide support to the selection process and hiring of staff (interviews, sorting of applications, monitoring of actions and communication with stakeholders).
    • Collaborate in the organization and implementation of training programs and management protocols that are satisfactory for all parties involved in the Center (Group Leaders, Area Managers, Management and Directorship).
    • Develop the welcome plan for new employees.
    • Provide the necessary metrics to create reports and identify areas for improvement.
    • Provide support to the Monitoring Committees of the HRS4R and the CRM Equality Plan to develop and execute the current action plans and participate in the elaboration of further plans.
    • Provide support to the CRM governing bodies to develop recruitment actions, hiring and training, according to the project’s strategic plan for the years 2022-2025. (CEX2020-001084-M)

Requirements

The appointee will preferably have:

    • A Bachelor’s degree or diploma in law, labour relations, other related education or specific training in human resources management and labour administration.
    • English skills (written and spoken): minimum level required B2.
    • A minimum of two years of experience in an HR department.
    • Bilingual in Spanish and Catalan.

Desirable qualifications

    • Experience in the human resources department of CERCA centers, or Spanish or Catalan Universities.
    • Master’s Degree in Human Resources Management will be valued.
    • Knowledge of A3 management programs (Wolters Klubber) will be valued.
    • Having previous experience in training management, aiding in the creation of research groups, and designing training materials will be considered a plus.
    • Have experience in using talent recruitment tools through social media.
    • Practical experience in the development of people such as skills management, assessment, change management, efficient team building, training, coaching…

Conditions

    • Starting date: 10-01-2022
    • Contract time period: For works and services for the duration of the Maria de Maeztu award (31/12/2025), with the possibility of stabilizing as a tenure once the project ends.
    • Salary as established according to the salary tables of the center.

Selection process

The selection committee will be composed of the CRM Director, the CRM Manager, and two members of the CRM team. This process consists of:

1) Admission of candidates: applicants must submit the Curriculum Vitae and accompany the application with a Motivation Letter via email to crm@crm.cat, until October 31st, 2021, at 23:59 (Barcelona time), indicating the reference code of the offer. Applications submitted from a portal other than the CRM jobs section and not following the guidelines detailed here will not be accepted.

2) Pre-selection of candidates based on the fulfilment of the minimum requirements of the offer.

3) First stage of selection that will consist of the elaboration of a shortlist based on objective scoring criteria.
