New Call for Technologies for The Collider, the innovation programme of Mobile World Capital Barcelona

Apr 24, 2019

The Collider is an innovation programme promoted by the Mobile World Capital Barcelona that connects scientific and entrepreneurial talent to create disruptive technology-based start-ups that address society’s and industry’s challenges to:

·         Virtual Reality

·         Artificial Intelligence

·         Blockchain

·         Internet of Things

·         5G

Together with more than 60 corporations, this programme has defined sectorial challenges that focus on enhancing efficiency, accessibility and sustainability of Mobility, Health & Wellness (including the CRM’s own spin-off project, RheoDx), Industry 4.0 & Utilities. Technologies that offer solutions on how to overcome these challenges will have an opportunity to launch conjoin pilots with corporate partners.

The Collider designed a 6 months intensive entrepreneurial training programme, created for PhDs, Postdocs, Universities, Master’s students or Investigators who want to explore the market potential of their research projects.

The programme will select the 15 best projects that overcome this edition’s challenges and will invite them to take part in The Collider. One of the main criteria for selection is the technologies’ maturity stage, meaning that we reward the projects that are developed enough to start piloting and testing.

More reasons to join:

·         Created start-ups will receive up to 50K€ of seed investment

·         Office space in the technological hub Pier01 – Barcelona Tech City

·         Access to MWCapital broad community of experts, mentors and corporations

·         Support in fundraising rounds

·         Participation in Mobile World Congress and 4YFN
