Advanced course's information

In May 2019 a week of Advanced Courses will be organized at the CRM (Barcelona). Each Advanced Course will consist of four 1h30 sessions and there will be three such advanced lectures in a day: one on a specific topic in algebra, one on a specific topic in topology and another one in geometry. In addition to the three Advanced Courses, participating doctoral students and postdocs will be given an opportunity to present their results during half an hour talks (most probably on Wednesday).

Organization: Three advanced courses during 4 days: 9h-10h50  / 11h-12h50 / 14h30-16h20 (including short break).  Wednesday is reserved for short talks.​

Resolutions will be send by May 15th, 2019.
Please note that submitting a proposal does not exempt the applicant from having to register to the course.

In order to increase the number of young researchers participating in this activity, the CRM announces a call for those participants interested in taking part in this activity. This grant covers the registration fee and housing in a shared apartment on campus from May 26th to June 1st, 2019.

Application deadline for grants: April 30th, 2019 (Resolutions will be sent by May 15th, 2019)​. 
The EMS offers some travel grants to young mathematicians from less-favoured regions within the geographical area of EMS membership for presenting results at conferences or attending courses, or for research stays in foreign countries, normally up to a maximum of 900 euros in each case or 500 euros for trips within Europe.
Eligible researchers should use this online form​ in order to apply for travel grants.

Registration fee: 100€
Deadline for registration: May 13th, 2019 (EXTENDED!)
Registration fee covers the documentation package, coffee breaks, lunch tickets and the social dinner
Refund policy:
The registration fee depends on the date of the payment.
Cancellations received 1 month before the start of the activity will incur in an administrative fee of 50of the total amount.
Cancellations received less than one month prior to the start of the activity are not refundable.


You will be able to pay by card or bank transfer through the on-line registration system.

If you wish to be accommodated there, please send an email to Ms. Aldara González at On the email you should state that you are a CRM participant, the exact dates of your stay, and the code CRM 19/46. The reservation is made until February 15th, 2019. After this date it cannot be ensured that they have availability.
