Advanced course's description

Menachem Magidor (Jerusalem) and Jouko Väänänen (Helsinki and Amsterdam) will give two complementary intensive courses on the connections between the theory of large cardinals and strong logics, that is, logics intermediate between first and second-order logics, including infinitary logics. The courses will include both a historic overview and an exposition of some recent results and developments.

Each course will consist of 8 one-hour sessions (1 morning session each day Monday-Friday, and 1 afternoon session Monday, Tuesday and Thursday). There will also be some informal discussion sessions.

A syllabus of the courses will be posted in due time.
