Workshop's description

The aim of the workshop is to bring together algebraic geometers working on valuation theory or interested in the use of valuations for the study of projective algebraic varieties; the main focus is going to be the relationship between valuations and  positivity properties  of line and vector bundles. 

The event  will consist of a limited number of talks (roughly 10-15) by distinguished invited speakers, which will take place during  the morning sessions, and  whose goal is to stimulate further discussion. The afternoons will be devoted to performing research in working groups on topics in the area of the workshop chosen by the  participants at the beginning of the venue.

*Graduate students or early career participants who should be within five years of their PhD

The CRM is announcing a call for applications to offer a limited number of grants to junior participants (graduate students or early career participants who should be within five years of their PhD​) interested in participating in the workshop.
There are two types of grants: Registration grant and Registration plus housing grant.

Contributed poster

Contributed poster applications are accepted. Please, send a message with the abstract (pdf and tex files) attached, affiliation and position to Neus Portet ( before January 17, 2016Please, write your name and the name of this event on the subject line as well as "poster application". Only applications from pre-registered or registered participants will be accepted. Resolutions will be sent before January 31, 2016.
