Seminar Cycle on Computational and Systems Neuroscience 2007-2008

Introduction
Aquest seminari, que té una periodicitat mensual, està pensat per a investigadors i estudiants de doctorat i de màster interessats en els mecanismes del sistema nerviós, tant si la seva recerca està centrada en tècniques experimentals com computacionals. Els conferenciants convidats són científics de renom internacional amb trajectòries professionals molt variades però que comparteixen una aproximació mecanicista i quantitativa en la recerca sobre el cervell. Amb aquest cicle de seminaris volem establir un fòrum de discussió sobre els reptes actuals en neurociència que faci èmfasi tant en els mètodes matemàtics com computacionals aplicats a la recerca sobre el cervell com en nous temes teòrics sorgits arran de resultats experimentals.
Amb aquest cicle de seminaris també es vol aconseguir estimular el diàleg entre els investigadors de diferents disciplines que convergeixen en l’estudi de la dinàmica del sistema neuronal, tant experimental com teòric, per tal de contribuir a la consolidació d’un espai d’investigació multidisciplinari en neurociències a l’àrea de Barcelona.
Durant el curs 2008-2009, el seminari tindrà un caràcter més itinerant, començant a la institució organitzadora, el CRM, al Campus de la UAB. En general, les conferències seran a les 12 del migdia i el lloc s’anunciarà abans de cada lectura. IF YOU PAY VIA CREDIT CARD but you need to provide the invoice to your institution to be reimbursed, please note that we will also need you to send an email to comptabilitat@crm.cat providing the internal reference number given by your institution and the code of the Project covering the registration (if necessary).
