Temporary call
Deadline January 23, 2022
Description

The computational neuroscience group at the CRM, headed by Alex Roxin, is looking for a postdoctoral researcher to study the neuronal and circuit-level mechanisms underlying episodic memory formation and consolidation. The position will involve computational modeling of hippocampal networks with plasticity, in conjunction with the analysis of in-vivo electrophysiological and Ca-imaging data from rodents.

Applications will be accepted until the position is filled

TASKS
The post-doctoral researcher will be involved in the study of the network mechanisms underlying episodic memory formation in hippocampus. The project involves modelling as well as the analysis of electrophysiological and Ca-imaging data from mice.

REQUIREMENTS
The ideal candidate:

Ø  Must have extensive experience modeling representational drift in area CA1 of hippocampus via statistical models and large-scale spiking networks, as well as analyzing data from chronic, long-term calcium imaging in mice.

CONTRACT DETAILS
Ø  Expected starting date: February 1st, 2022

Ø  Duration of the contract: fixed-term (two and a half month) for project BIO - RTI2018-097570-B-I00
