Complex Membranes Research Group:
'Development of an experimental platform
for rapid prototyping of UmTDD methods'
by Dr. Roger Domingo-Roca

Date: December 18th, 2018, at 3 pm
Location: Auditorium,
Centre de Recerca Matemàtica

The Complex Membranes Research Group will be hosting Dr. Roger Domingo-Roca as a speaker and we will also count on the presence of Dr. Helen Mulvana and Dr. Joseph Jackson, from the University of Glasgow and the University of Strathclyde, respectively.

Roger Domingo-Roca currently works at the Medical and Industrial Ultrasonics group at the University of Glasgow as a Research Assistant. His current work focuses on the use of contrast agents to enhance the biological effects produced by ultrasound, and investigate its potential to treat diseases such as cancer using ultrasound-mediated targeted drug delivery (UmTDD). He is working towards the development of a protocol in which the relevant parameters for UmTDD efficiency are thoroughly studied, also decreasing animal testing by introducing 3D-printing technology. He is also interested in research involving materials science, nanotechnology, and polymer science.
