| Description |
Quantitative modeling has recently become crucial in understanding biology. The idea of the proposed workshop is to bring the two traditions of detailed (systems biology) versus abstract (physics) modeling approaches together with selected experimentalists/clinical scientists. Our specific aim is to address how human diseases can and should be mathematically modeled given the current and future state of knowledge and data.
