Goals

Today the Anthropologic Theory of the Didactic (ATD) represents a spreading field of research regrouping about 200 researchers mainly from Europe and America. The ATD constitues a development of the didactic transposition theory born in 1985 with the publication of Chevallard’s book La transposition didactique: du savoir savant au savoir enseigné (Grenoble: La Pensée Sauvage, 1985, 2nd edition 1991). The two first international congresses on the ATD (Baeza, Spain, 2005 and Uzès, France, 2007) are evidence of the dynamics and importance of the projects around which a community of research of ADT is being built.

The Third International Conference on the ATD is expected to be held in Catalonia in January 2010, 26th to 29th. Its mission is to gather researchers working on this frame to present the empirical studies carried out in the educational systems of the different countries, to discuss and spread the results obtained, and to agree on a common programme of research and development for the coming years.

First course on ATD for researchers (from January 25that 3 pm to January 26th at 1 pm)

As a previous activity to the III International Conference on the ATD, a First Course on ATD for researchers will be held. Its main aim is the study and debate concerning ATD methodologies and basic principles.

The work will focus on some of the papers written by or on the ATD, as well as on some previously formulated questions by the course participants.

The course will be divided into two plenary or semi-plenary sessions (depending on the total amount of final participants) guided by Yves Chevallard and some of his close colleagues.

à Participants interested in attending the course are invited to send an e-mail to cdidactic@crm.cat.

à Attending the First Course on ATD for researchers is free for all participants having formalized their registration to the conference. Only an extra day of accommodation will have to be added to the fee.
