Welcome to the website of the Centre de Recerca Matemàtica. Here is an outline of the CRM and its mission.

There are two different aspects in CRM activity:

First, CRM serves the international mathematical community, as many other mathematical research centres do in the world. What does this mean precisely? It means hosting research visitors for mid- and long-term stays in order to carry out joint projects with other researchers, and organising activities of various formats. The most ambitious CRM activities are Research Programmes, during which a number of specialists in a topic are gathered together. Other activities organised by the Centre include international conferences, workshops, advanced courses, thematic days, etc. All these activities are managed through open calls that you can find in sections "Visiting the CRM" and "Activities".

Secondly, CRM also has its own research staff, as well as doctoral and post-doctoral grant holders. In the current scenario where mathematical research is pervading science and society, the CRM especially promotes research in multidisciplinary strategic directions not sufficiently represented in Catalonia. Actions undertaken by the CRM along these lines are detailed in sections "Research" and "Research Training".
