Research Topics

Geometric Flows: (from January to March). The topics will include: mean curvature flow, convexity in constant curvature, and Ricci flow. Renewed interest in the field has developed those recent years, thanks to the results of Perelman on the Ricci flow and Huisken and Sinestrari on the mean curvature flow among others.

Symplectic Geometry: The second part of the program (from April until July) will be centered in current problems in Symplectic and Poisson Geometry. Special emphasis will be given to geometrical aspects of group actions on these manifolds such as moment maps, integrable systems and symplectic groupoids.
