Security of digital data plays an increasingly important role in today's information society. Their widespread application range from protection of the private sphere of customers for electronic mail, industrial applications for secure bank  transactions to protection of intellectual property rights of electronic multimedia content of various kinds: digital images, video and audio data in textual form.

These security problems have been addressed from two different perspectives. On one hand, cryptologists have developed secure cryptographic protocols based on mathematical problems considered to be computationally hard; on the other, signal processing researchers concentrate on information embedding and authentication tailored to the content characteristics.

The purpose of this Conference is to gather efforts from both researchers communities aiming at the creation of a common framework for multimedia security.

The CRM offers a limited number of grants covering the registration fee and/or accommodation addressed to young researchers planning on attending the whole Conference. The deadline for application is March 1, 2007 (extended until March 25, 2007).

VERY IMPORTANT

If you apply for Financial Support please take the following steps:

1. Send the Application Form for Financial Support before the deadline (please do not pay the Registration fee yet).

2. Once you receive the resolution on your Financial Application you will be asked to send the Payment Form in the terms of that resolution.

3. You do not need to send the Registration Form.

APPLICATION FOR FINANCIAL SUPPORT (closed)

Participants awarded with accommodation grant should note that the organisation of the conference will take care of their lodging.

The rest of participants are encouraged to make hotel reservation on their own.

Special lodging offer: The organisers have some apartaments available in Vila Universitària (Bellaterra) for the participants. Please, contact Neus Portet at nportet@crm.cat as soon as possible. Reservations will be taken in the order in which they are received.
