General description
Following the tradition of the old Oxford Study Groups with Industry (currently, European Study Groups with Industry), these are workshops where mathematicians work on problems that have been suggested by either industries or technology researchers. The problems to be studied are presented by industrialists on the first session. Afterwards, participants start working in groups, in brainstorming sessions of mathematical modelling, and at the end of the workshop participants present their conclusions. More details on how study groups work can be found at www.maths-in-industry.org.
